Afghan rivals are nearing an agreement on the future of their country in Bonn.
Delegates are meeting with UN representatives in Germany to look at a new draft proposal.
It comes as US aircraft continue to bomb targets near Kandahar.
Afghan analyst Omah Shamad says there is still a power struggle going on but the overall outlook is good.
