SIPTU is calling for the Government not to back down in its row with Ryanair over the proposed new pier at Dublin airport.

The union says that building the pier does not make economic sense and that Shannon or Cork airports would be a more suitable choice.

General Secretary, John McDonnell, has called for an evaluation of the situation before construction begins.
