Man due in court over spate of gang burglaries

A man in his 30s is due before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court later in connection with a number of burglaries across the south and southeast.

A man in his 30s is due before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court later in connection with a number of burglaries across the south and southeast.

The man was one of ten arrested as part of a four-month Garda operation following raids stretching from Co Kerry to Wexford.

The gangs targeted shops including petrol stations, local stores and post offices.

The Garda operation, codenamed Crake, was supported by foreign investigators through Interpol.
