Andy Myler scored from the spot for the second time in four days to salvage a point for Drogheda in this relegation battle.

In atrocious conditions, Derry stole the lead with a fine piece of football on 24 minutes.

Kevin Deery did well down the right to pick out Gareth McGlynn whose hooked cross was headed home at the back post by Sean Friars.

Myler then hit the equaliser on 68 minute when confidently shooting home from the spot for his 13th goal of the season after Derry keeper Alan Gough had upended Declan O'Brien.
