Tommy Carr is to continue as Roscommon football manager for another year.

The former Dublin manager decided to remain at the helm following talks with the Roscommon county board last night.

Roscommon began their championship campaign well, but faltered in the Connacht final against Mayo, before being defeated in the qualifiers by Dublin.

County board chairman Stephen Banahan welcomed the decision.

"Tommy is happy to continue and we're happy to have him," he said.
