A leading Tyrone official has slammed the GAA for imposing a three month ban on star centre-back Gavin Devlin after the NFL final.

A leading Tyrone official has slammed the GAA for imposing a three month ban on star centre-back Gavin Devlin after the NFL final.

Devlin was yellow carded in the NFL final win over Laois for stamping on Colm Parkinson but a three month ban for 'dangerous play' was added on after video evidence was viewed.

Tyrone secretary Dominic McCaughey said: “The...inept, incompetent and inconsistent manner in which this player's case was handled by the GAC left a bitter taste among players, management and officials in Tyrone.”
