Maceo Rigters’ agent is hoping to fly into Glasgow today to tie up a move to Celtic from NAC Breda.

Maceo Rigters’ agent is hoping to fly into Glasgow today to tie up a move to Celtic from NAC Breda.

If talks go well, the 23-year-old striker will sign a contract later this week.

Norwich City – managed by former Celtic favourite Peter Grant – are also interested but the Scottish champions are favourites to land Rigters.

Smit told the Daily Record: “I would hope to be in Glasgow on Monday and make a final agreement with Celtic. It is my hope that we can agree a deal soon. If I can’t get into Scotland right away I’ll be there on Tuesday.

“There are no other clubs involved apart from Norwich but Celtic are way ahead.”
