Rain brings floods to Dublin

Several parts of Dublin City have been flooded after heavy rain this afternoon.

Gardai are now directing traffic across the areas with flood waters.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the areas.

Flooded areas include Ballsbridge, Ringsend and Rathmines.

However, those areas particularly affected by local flooding are reported to be passable at the moment.
