Roy O'Donovan worked the oracle again for Cork City as they came from behind to beat Galway United at Terryland Park to maintain their title push.

Derek O'Brien shot Galway into a 14th minute lead when running through onto Alan Murphy's pass.

But Cork were well in the game and hit back to level nine minutes into the second half.

Hesitancy by Galway defenders Colm James and Regi Nootimer gifted possession to John O'Flynn who got free to set up O'Donovan to fire home his first of the night.

O'Donovan, who remains a transfer target for several cross channel clubs, won it on 74 minutes with a similar goal.

O'Flynn again got away to provide the cross and O'Donovan shot home his 12 league goal - and 19th in all - of the season.
