Gardaí to appeal to mother of abandoned baby in press conference

Officers investigating the discovery of a baby on a roadside in Dublin are expected to hold a press conference this morning.

The little girl is said to be in a stable condition at the Coombe hospital, after being found in a plastic bag on the Steelstown Road in Rathcoole on Friday afternoon.

Gardaí are appealing to the infant's mother to come forward and say they are eager to make sure she is okay.
