Clean bill of health for Man City

Manchester City assistant manager Arthur Cox looks to maintain his unbeaten record in Kevin Keegan’s absence at the expense of rock-bottom Wolves.

Manchester City assistant manager Arthur Cox looks to maintain his unbeaten record in Kevin Keegan’s absence at the expense of rock-bottom Wolves.

With Keegan’s bad back ruling him out of an Easter return, a telephone call between the Blues manager and Cox will determine whether record signing Nicolas Anelka and strike partner Robbie Fowler are restored to the City line-up.

Apart from long-term casualty Daniel van Buyten (knee), City report a clean bill of health but though Joey Barton came through a reserve team outing unscathed in midweek, the combative midfielder seems set to start on the bench.

Team (from): James, Arason, Distin, Dunne, Jihai, McManaman, Sinclair, Bosvelt, Barton, Reyna, Wright-Phillips, Tarnat, Sibierski, Anelka, Fowler, Macken, Wanchope.
