Garda perjury case before High Court

An application calling on the Garda Commissioner to investigate alleged perjury by senior members of the force in Donegal has begun in the High Court.

An application calling on the Garda Commissioner to investigate alleged perjury by senior members of the force in Donegal has begun in the High Court.

Counsel for Frank McBrearty of Raphoe, told the court that senior gardai denied the existence of a document which subsequently came to light.

The court was told that the Garda Commissioner said there was no evidence to warrant an internal investigation.
