Camacho is set to return to action at Newmarket on Friday after being off the track for three months.
The three-year-colt, trained by Henry Cecil, will run in the Group Three Igloos Bentinck Stakes over six furlongs.
The son of Danehill is also entered in the VC Bet Challenge Stakes over seven furlongs, the opening race on Saturday’s Champions’ Day, but connections have opted for the shorter distance.
Camacho has only been beaten once in three attempts over six furlongs, that coming in his last race, the Group One July Cup, in which he was reported to have run flat when only 10th to Pastoral Pursuits.
“The reason he’s going for the Bentinck is that we think he’s probably a six-furlong horse. He has got a lot of speed even though he did run a blinder over seven when second in the Jersey Stakes,” said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah.
“We gave him a break after the July Cup. He’s come back well and Henry’s been pleased with his work.
“There’s a good covering of grass so the ground should be OK.”
