A woman found dead at her home had been stabbed, it emerged today.

A woman found dead at her home had been stabbed, it emerged today.

The body of Sheila McStay, 39, was discovered at a house on Tarry Lane in Lurgan, in Co Armagh.

Detectives investigating the killing have arrested a man and confirmed they were following a definite line of inquiry.

Sources disclosed that Ms McStay, whose body was discovered yesterday, had suffered stab wounds.

As a post mortem examination was carried out, police were attempting to contact the dead woman’s sister in England.
