Gardai name man recovered from Galway Bay

Gardai have named the man whose body was recovered from Galway Bay earlier today.

Gardai have named the man whose body was recovered from Galway Bay earlier today.

The remains of 39-year-old Daniel Nee, from Cashel in Connemara, were found floating in the water near Mutton Island at around 6am.

A construction worker made the discovery.

A post mortem will be carried out at University College Hospital in Galway. It is understood that Mr Nee's body had been in the water for some time.
