Sligo boss Corrigan sticks by his side

Sligo manager Dominic Corrigan has largely kept faith with his side for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier shootout with almost regular opponents Clare.

The Yeats men are meeting Clare for the third time in a year - and with 2002 All-star Eamonn O'Hara likely to man the Sligo bench, despite his evident knee injury.

The midfield giant sustained a knock to his knee in the opening minutes of Sligo's second round defeat of Kildare and has been battling ever since to regain his fitness.

Corrigan has retained the majority of the side that saw off the Lilywhites - making three enforced changes and a positional switch for Sunday's Castlebar clash.

Noel McGuire, who covered the void left by O'Hara at centre field last time out, shifts from full-back to start at midfield this time, with John Martyn taking over the number 3 jersey.

Brian Curran has failed to shake off a back strain and his place is taken by John McPartland, the vital goalscorer against Kildare. While Kenneth Sweeney (hamstring) is also sidelined and Gerry McGowan fills in at corner forward.

Clare have been forced to delay the naming of their side due to numerous injury worries, including Conor Whelan, Michael O'Dwyer, Stephen Hickey and Ger Quinlan.

Liscannor defender Ronan Slattery, however, will be available for the Banner men after his one-month suspension for a red card received in the Munster semi-final against Cork.

SLIGO (SFC v Clare); P Greene; P Naughton, J Martyn, B Phillips; P Doohan, B Egan, J Davey; S Davey, N McGuire; J McPartland, M Breheny, D McGarty; D McTiernan, D Sloyan, G McGowan.
