Man to appear in court in connection with halting-site clash

A man will appear in court in Dublin this morning following a serious disturbance at a halting site in south Co Dublin on Sunday morning.

A man will appear in court in Dublin this morning following a serious disturbance at a halting site in south Co Dublin on Sunday morning.

Another man, believed to be a resident of the halting site, remains in hospital with serious head injuries after the incident.

The clash was reported to have involved a large number of people and several weapons.

The man has been charged under Section 3 of the Non-fatal Offences Against the Person Act and will appear at Kilmainham District Court at 10.30am.
