Adrian Maguire says he is progressing well in his recovery from a serious neck injury.

The Irish rider broke a vertebrae in his neck in a crashing fall from Luzcadou at Warwick back in March.

He has undergone surgery twice on the injury since and had a halo brace fitted, which was removed at the end of May.

Maguire is recovering well and is still hopeful of a return to action before Christmas.

He said: “I’m going on good and it’s coming along well but there’s no date to return yet.

“When I last spoke to the doctor he said the end of November or beginning of December so we’ll see then.”
