Media rivals launch freesheet newspapers in Dublin

Ireland's two main daily broadsheets have both launched free newspapers in Dublin this morning.

Ireland's two main daily broadsheets have both launched free newspapers in Dublin this morning.

Metro Ireland and Herald AM are both targeted at young professional commuters in the capital.

They will be distributed free of charge every morning in busy areas of Dublin.

Metro Ireland is being published in partnership with the Irish Times, while Herald AM is owned by Independent News and Media, the publishers of the Evening Herald and Irish Independent.
