A website has been launched to help in the task of finding missing children.

A website has been launched to help in the task of finding missing children.

Missingkids.ie has been formally switched on at Garda Headquarters by Justice Minister Michael McDowell and Commissioner Noel Conroy.

Minister McDowell has said the new site will greatly help the families of youngsters who have vanished.

“The details of children who are missing and the circumstances in which they went missing will be posted on the internet for people to access.”

“In certain circumstances where a long time has elapsed between the disappearance of the child, it will be possible to use computer enhancing to give an artist impression of what this person would look like today.”
