Irish to cut Christmas spending by 10%

Irish people will spend 10% less this Christmas, according to the results of a survey released today.

Irish people will spend 10% less this Christmas, according to the results of a survey released today.

We will still be the second biggest spenders per capita in Europe however, just behind Luxembourg, a Deloitte study has found.

Most homes will spend just more than €1,000, mainly on gifts, down from almost €1,500 in 2007.
