Single pop legend Paul McCartney sparked rumours of a romance with sexy opera star Natasha Marsh at the Classical Brit Awards this week - after confiding in friends he found her "very sexy".

The former Beatle was spotted admiring the soprano - who bears a likeness to his estranged wife Heather Mills - at the ceremony in London on Thursday.

He was overheard telling a friend "she is very sexy" and later arranged a date with the blonde singer, reports the Daily Mirror newspaper.

Marsh's spokeswoman confirmed: "Sir Paul asked to be introduced to Natasha afterwards, he was very impressed with her."
