Ireland's fiercest critic in the European Union is in Dublin for a meeting with Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy.

Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Pedro Solbes is in Ireland just one week after he gave Minister McCreevy an unprecedented dressing-down for his economic policies.

Commissioner Solbes has already met unions and employers.
