Post-mortem due on woman's body

A post-mortem is due to be carried out today on the body of a woman found near a derelict house in Kildare yesterday afternoon.

A post-mortem is due to be carried out today on the body of a woman found near a derelict house in Kildare yesterday afternoon.

She was found near the edge of a field near a house in Eadestown at 4pm. It is not yet known how long the body had been there, however gardaí say they are treating her death as suspicious.

Her body was removed to Naas General Hospital last night. The Deputy State Pathologist will carry out a post-mortem examination later today.
