Taoiseach to meet diplomats about Colombia Three

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has cut-short his holiday in Kerry and returned to Dublin to meet foreign officials regarding the Colombia Three.

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has cut-short his holiday in Kerry and returned to Dublin to meet foreign officials regarding the Colombia Three.

He is scheduled to meet with the US and British ambassadors to discuss the political consequences of the return to Ireland of Jim Monaghan, Martin McCauley and Niall Connolly, the so called Colombia Three.

The Irish ambassador to Colombia Art Agnew, based in Mexico, is to travel to Bogota to meet with authorities there to discuss the political context of the return to Ireland of the three men who were convicted of training FARC rebels.
