More than 130 objections have been made to An Bord Pleanála in relation to a proposed superdump in north county Dublin.

There has been a lot of opposition to the project from local residents who live near the 150-acre site at Tooman, 12 km north of Swords.

It is understood the submissions made relate to the environmental effects of the landfill and the possible consequences for proper planning and sustainable development in the area.

An oral hearing on the development will be held in October.
