French student in critical condition after Dublin stabbing

A 21-year-old French student is in a critical condition in hospital following a stabbing attack in Dublin city centre last night.

A 21-year-old French student is in a critical condition in hospital following a stabbing attack in Dublin city centre last night.

The woman was found at the bottom of a stairwell in the Bertram Court apartment complex near Christchurch shortly after 7pm.

She was taken to St James Hospital with neck and hand injuries.

Gardaí have said they do not know what the motive for the attack was. They are appealing for witnesses.
