Ireland and Munster hooker Jerry Flannery's participation in the Six Nations and Munster's final Pool match in the Heineken Cup is in serious jeopardy as he has been cited for an alleged stamp on the head of Julien Bonnaire.

He will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of a citing arising from the Round 5 Heineken Cup Pool 5 match against ASM Clermont Auvergne at Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin on Sunday.

The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Achille Reali (Italy), was for alleged stamping/trampling in contravention of Law 10.4 (b).

The independent Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as soon as possible.

Law 10.4 (b) - Stamping or trampling: A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.
