86 jobs lost temporarily in Dublin's Clerys

86 people are to be temporarily laid off from Clerys Department Store in Dublin.

The store has been closed for renovations since a storm in July caused extensive water damage.

Staff were told today that due to the damage, Clerys will not be fully operational for a further four weeks, resulting in the temporary redundancies.

Affected employees, primarily in sales and back-of-house functions, will remain Clerys' employees during the temporary lay-off period.
