Adrian McAndrew has been drafted into the Kildare team for Sunday's Christy Ring Cup final against Westmeath (Croke Park, throw-in 12.15pm).
Kildare boss Ben Dorney has made just one change to the side that saw off Meath in last month's semi-final, with McAndrew starting at full-forward and Tony Murphy the player to be excluded.
Coill Dubh clubman McAndrew scored 0-2 as a substitute against Meath and has done enough to force his way back into the Lilywhites' starting line-up.
Kildare have made a couple of positional switches with Oisin Lynch moving to left corner forward and Tony Spain dropping back to centre forward where Murphy lined out against the Royals.
The Tipperary trio of Ronan Tynan, David Kennedy and Paddy O'Brien have also retained their places as Kildare gun for their first Christy Ring Cup title. Kennedy and O'Brien were both All-Ireland winners with Tipp in 2001.
Dorney's men have gone unbeaten since their opening day 3-13 to 0-15 defeat to Carlow in the group stages. Wins over Wicklow, Derry, London and Meath have followed, giving the hurlers of Kildare a rare outing at GAA headquarters.
