ESB crews have begun trying to restore power to parts of the South West and East hit by bad weather conditions over the weekend.

ESB crews have begun trying to restore power to parts of the South West and East hit by bad weather conditions over the weekend.

Met Eireann has said that much of the bad weather has passed, but there is still a risk of gusts of up to 50mph in some areas.

Passengers intending to travel on cross-channel ferries are advised to contact the relevant port before travelling, as some services have been cancelled.
