Bomb hoaxes hit Dublin rail stations

Heuston Station and Connolly Station in Dublin were both shut down and evacuated for a time this afternoon after two hoax bomb scares.

Heuston Station and Connolly Station in Dublin were both shut down and evacuated for a time this afternoon after two hoax bomb scares.

Both rail depots were closed during the security alert, causing delays for thousands of rail passengers.

Gardai searched both stations, but no suspicious devices were found and the alert was declared a hoax.
