Wigan midfielder James McArthur has been called into the Scotland squad after Robert Snodgrass pulled out with an ankle injury.

Wigan midfielder James McArthur has been called into the Scotland squad after Robert Snodgrass pulled out with an ankle injury.

Leeds winger Snodgrass missed training yesterday to receive treatment but Scotland assistant manager Peter Houston felt he would be fit for the Euro 2012 qualifying matches against Liechtenstein and Spain.

However, the Scottish Football Association revealed this morning that the former Livingston player was out.
