Some of the most famous names in Irish art will go on show in Dublin today.

Some of the most famous names in Irish art will go on show in Dublin today.

The work of famous Irish artists will feature in an exhibition of paintings expected to fetch millions when they are auctioned at Christie’s on May 10.

The exhibition which is open to the public in the Merrion Hotel includes more than 120 Irish paintings which will feature in Christie’s annual Irish Sale.

Paintings by Sir John Lavery and Jack B Yeats will feature in an exhibition set to include Irish, British, Impressionist and Modern works.
