M7 re-opens after truck accident

The M7 motorway in Co Kildare re-opened shortly before 3pm this afternoon following a serious accident early this morning.

The M7 motorway in Co Kildare re-opened shortly before 3pm this afternoon following a serious accident early this morning.

A truck had jacknifed under the Maudlin's Flyover outside Naas.

It took over three hours for emergency services to free the driver from the cab. He was then taken to Tallaght Hospital where he is being treated for serious lower body injuries.

There are delays of up to 90 minutes reported on the motorway.
