Draw for FAI Cup takes place this evening

Holders Longford Town will learn against whom they will begin the defence of their crown this evening when the second round draw of the FAI Carlsberg Senior Cup takes place in Dublin.

Holders Longford Town will learn against whom they will begin the defence of their crown this evening when the second round draw of the FAI Carlsberg Senior Cup takes place in Dublin.

Former Republic of Ireland defender Curtis Fleming and current Republic of Ireland Under 21 manager Don Givens will draw the 32 names from the hat in this evening's draw.

The second round marks the stage at which the 22 eircom League clubs enter the competition.

Junior Cup runners-up Carrick United, Tullamore and Quay Celtic of Dundalk join Dublin sides Drumcondra, Glebe North, Portmarnock and Wayside Celtic as well as and Cork clubs Leeds, Ringmahon Rangers and Rockmount as the non-senior outfits in the draw.
