Two little people have tried to bypass a British theme park's height restrictions by disguising themselves.

The crafty pair attempted to ride Thorpe Park's Stealth rollercoaster - which is 205ft high and has a speed of 0-80mph in under two seconds - while wearing a long trenchcoat with one stood on top of the other to surpass the minimum height restriction of 1.4 metres.

Mike Vallis, Divisional Director at Thorpe Park, explained: “Our suspicions were aroused when we spotted a rather unsteady looking chap in a long raincoat queuing up to ride Stealth.

"When we approached him, we discovered the plucky twosome with one on top of the other’s shoulders.

"We have height restrictions in place for the health and safety of our riders, and as Stealth is so extreme, its minimum height is at the taller end of this scale."

But the pair were still able to enjoy their day on other rides in the park, despite their disappointment.
