Self-harm crisis centre opens in Limerick city

Limerick has the seventh highest suicide rate of any city in Ireland and the UK.

Self harm crisis centre, Pieta House, is marking its fifth year in operation in the Lucan area of Dublin by opening a new facility in Limerick today.

CEO Joan Freeman said the purpose-built facility will offer free counselling to anyone who needs it.
