NIB calls meeting in effort to avoid postal strike
There is fresh hope that tomorrow's planned industrial action by postal workers might be avoided.
The National Implementation Body has called both An Post and the Communication Workers Union in again to discuss a new proposal which may provide a breakthrough.
Discussions between both sides broke down without resolution yesterday afternoon with a union ban on overtime working set to kick in at midnight tonight.
