Shamed supermodel Kate Moss' career has been given a boost after French fashion house Longchamp unveiled the catwalk star as the face of its 2006 advertising campaigns.
Moss' future in the industry was thrown into doubt after British newspaper the Daily Mirror published pictures of her snorting cocaine in September.
But Longchamp's managing director Jean Cassegrain announced this morning he was confident Moss would do the prestigious label justice.
He said: "Despite her personal issues which have been extensively covered in the press, Kate remains by far the most famous and the most admired model in the world.
"She continues to be on the cover of the most respected fashion magazines and she has become an icon of our time."
Moss will follow in the footsteps of artist Tracey Emin and fellow UK model Lily Cole as the luxury brand's ambassador.
