Berkeley Hotel fire 'caused by minor electrical fault'

The D4 Berkeley Hotel in Dublin says a fire early this morning was caused by a minor electrical fault.

The D4 Berkeley Hotel in Dublin says a fire early this morning was caused by a minor electrical fault.

One guest and a staff member were taken to hospital for treatment to smoke inhalation and have since both been discharged.

Guests and staff were all evacuated as a precaution.

No major damage was caused to the hotel.
