Miller rules out for Celtic

Celtic striker Kenny Miller’s hamstring injury has ruled him out of the Parkhead side’s SPL clash with Hearts today.

Celtic striker Kenny Miller’s hamstring injury has ruled him out of the Parkhead side’s SPL clash with Hearts today.

The Scotland striker scored a brace in the 3-1 win over Aberdeen last week after coming on as substitute and started for the national team against South Africa at Pittodrie on Wednesday.

However, manager Gordon Strachan is taking no chances with the second leg of the Champions League qualifying tie against Spartak Moscow at Celtic Park looming in midweek.

Strachan keeps the same side which won against the Dons with Scott McDonald and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink in attack.

Hearts make four changes to the side which drew 1-1 with Gretna at Tynecastle last week.

In comes striker Calum Elliot, defender Jose Goncalves and midfielders Saulius Mikoliunas and Laryea Kingston.

Out goes Lee Wallace, Eggert Jonsson, Ruben Palazuelos and Andrius Velicka, none of whom make the bench.
