Detectives probing the death of a woman beaten in broad daylight believe the attack may have been video recorded on a mobile phone.
The 31-year-old from north Dublin died today after being attacked on Dublin’s Parnell Square East last Thursday some time between 2pm and 3pm.
It is understood she was taken to Beaumont Hospital suffering head injuries.
Gardaí appealed for anyone who recorded the assault to come forward.
Two people were arrested in connection with the incident.
A 32-year-old man is being quizzed by detectives at Store Street garda station in connection with the death. He was detained this morning in the Clondalkin area of the city.
A 34-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday but was released without charge.
Gardaí said a file was being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Detectives appealed for anyone who was in the Parnell Square East area last Thursday between 2pm and 3pm to contact them.
