Two foreigners were found dead in the Afghan capital today, city police said, apparently after being bludgeoned to death with rocks.

The men’s bodies were found in the south of Kabul this morning, Deputy Police Chief Gen. Khalil Aminzada told The Associated Press.

Aminzada said the two were wearing Afghan dress, but said: “No doubt they were foreigners, from their faces.” Aminzada added one was carrying a Swiss passport.

He said the men had entered Afghanistan from Pakistan 11 days ago, but declined to give more details.
