St Patrick's Athletic and St Francis are to merge, with the new club to be known as Dublin Saints.

However, it will line out as 'St Patrick's Athletic incorporating St Francis'.

The club will be based at Richmond Park and play in St Pat's home colours, although the St Francis shirt will be built into the away kit.

St Pat's manager Pat Dolan described the merger as a great day for both clubs and insisted that St Francis would play a full part in the new merger's activities.
