190 jobs for hotel group in Cork

Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Harney has announced 190 jobs at the Starwood Hotels and Resorts call centre, with the support of the IDA.

Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Harney has announced 190 jobs at the Starwood Hotels and Resorts call centre, with the support of the IDA.

Starwood is one of the world's largest hotel and leisure groups, owning, leasing and managing more than 740 hotels in 80 countries.

It established its call centre in Cork in 1998 and today's announcement will see more than 450 people employed at the Penrose Quay facility by the end of 2004.
