A survivor of the 1975 Miami Showband massacre is calling on the British Government to admit its role in the killings.

A survivor of the 1975 Miami Showband massacre is calling on the British Government to admit its role in the killings.

Three members of the popular group were shot dead by a UVF gang that tried to plant a bomb on their minibus in Co Down.

There have long been suspicions of British collusion with the killers.

The matter is to be raised by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern during a meeting with Northern Secretary Shaun Woodward in Dublin today.

Miami Showband member Steven Travers, who survived the attack, says he wants the Government to keep pushing for answers from the British Government.

"I don't need inquiries or tribunals or anything like that, although perhaps they will help somebody," he says.

"I'd just like the British Government to acknowledge their role in this."
