Pigsback launches marketing drive

Internet company Pigsback.com will conduct a major marketing campaign in Ireland this month.

Internet company Pigsback.com will conduct a major marketing campaign in Ireland this month.

The company will advertise on TV and radio, and hold a month-long in-store campaign in the 216 Xtra-vision stores nationwide.

The campaign centres on a limited and exclusive offer by CDWow! which offers chart CDs for €12.99 delivered free, running from October.

"With the big increase in activity from our members and brand partners in 2004, we have decided to raise the bar this autumn in terms of our marketing activity,” said Pigsback’s marketing director Gareth Lambe.

“We expect this campaign to help us achieve an active member base of 220,000 members by year-end,” he said.

Pigsback.com was founded by Michael Dwyer in July 2000.

The company employs 32 people in Dublin and London and currently has more than 190,000 active Irish members.
