Liam Lawlor is currently meeting with his legal team to decide whether to appeal his jail sentence for contempt of court.

The Dublin West TD is due to begin a seven-day jail term this afternoon unless he lodges an appeal with the Supreme Court this morning.

Mr Lawlor is to report to the gardai at 2pm and is then to be transferred to Mountjoy Prison in Dublin.
