Fianna Fáil looks set to lose one of its European Parliament seats in the East constituency at next month’s election, according to a poll published this morning.

Fianna Fáil looks set to lose one of its European Parliament seats in the East constituency at next month’s election, according to a poll published this morning.

The Irish Examiner/Prime Time poll predicted that Fianna Fáil’s Liam Aylward would secure 23% of the vote, following by Fine Gael’s Avril Doyle on 19%.

The third and final seat would appear to be a battle between Fine Gael’s Mairéad McGuinness (15%) and the Labour Party’s Peter Cassels (14%), with Fianna Fáil’s Seamus Kirk, the Green Party’s Mary White and Sinn Féin’s John Dwyer trailing on 7-8%.
